A premium hardwood with a fine, knot-free grain, making it the ideal choice for painted or stained window shutters. This versatile range offers the complete C&C collection, including painted finishes, wood stains, Botanical finishes, Solid Shaker and Solid Raised Shutters, and can be custom manufactured into shaped shutters such as circles, triangles and arches. It can also be tailored with Solid AluCore slats or durable PVC frames to suit any interior style.
Despite being a hardwood, Paulownia is approximately one-third lighter than traditional hardwoods, making it the perfect material for Tier-on-Tier shutters and wider window openings. It is also an environmentally friendly, sustainable timber. Fast-growing Paulownia trees produce around one cubic metre of hardwood in just eight years before naturally regenerating from the existing root system, allowing plantations to be harvested multiple times. Lightweight yet exceptionally strong, Paulownia timber resists cracking and splitting when nails or screws are used, ensuring long-lasting, high-quality plantation shutters.
